DESCRIPTION:Accountability for Crimes Against Children: Challenges and Opportunities from a Gender Perspective\n  \n\nDate: Thursday\, 07 December 2023\nLocation: UN Offices of the Bahá’í International Community\, New York\nTime: 09.30 AM – 11.00 AM \n\nThis side event to the 22nd Assembly of States Parties to the ICC (ASP22) aims at fostering a discussion around children’s participation in accountability proceedings from a gender-sensitive\, trauma-informed and survivor-centred approach\, focusing on the often-overlooked experiences of LGBTQI+ children and youth. This will be a practice-oriented conversation around the challenges and needs that children have when accessing accountability avenues for core international crimes at the national and international level\, while highlighting with a differential gender approach\, the needs of LGBTQI+ child survivors and victims. \nRegister here (this event is an in-person event).
