Today 36 survivors and witnesses of international crimes in South Sudan, including forced displacement and conflict-related sexual violence, sent a letter to the ICC Prosecutor urging him to open a preliminary examination concerning the Uganda/South Sudan situation. “We want just justice because….” is a powerful and poignant statement of the lack of accountability for horrific crimes that remain unpunished.
