Justice for Child Victims
Justice for Child Victims
Children are rarely asked what they want from a justice process, and the specific harms they carry are often folded into adult categories or left out of the record altogether.
LAW works alongside child victims and survivors to pursue accountability, strengthen child centred justice systems, and ensure children’s experiences, rights and voices are recognised in national and international responses to conflict and mass atrocities. This includes research documenting how atrocities affect children over the long term, technical support to investigators and prosecutors, and advocacy for the most marginalised child survivors, particularly boys and LGBTQI+ children, who are consistently underserved.
