On Aljazeera – The Violence against Rohingya Fleeing Myanmar (15 October 2024)

 

On October 15, Aljazeera portrayed the extreme violence Rohingya are enduring every day, being targeted during the conflict between the Arakan army and the Myanmar army.

In the recent months, over 30,000 Rohingya have been forced to flee into Bangladesh to save lives – suffering from trauma of losing family, serious injuries and finding themselves in very challenging conditions marred by deteriorating security in the camps.
The interim Bangladesh Government has called for international community to find solutions urgently and create a safe zone, and also expedite resettlement.
