Shattered Lives, Silent Struggles

 

In Sri Lanka LAW prioritises advancing justice for survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). It provides legal aid, representation, and crucial support services to survivors.

24.9 per cent of Sri Lankan women have experienced physical or sexual violence, whether by a partner or non-partner.

In light of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Ceylon Today engaged in a discussion with Nillasi Liyanage, a human rights lawyer and Legal Adviser for the Sri Lanka Programme at LAW.
